Dear esteemed NCHL members
After countless hours of watching "Law and Order", and consulting with the board, I present the 2017/2018 predictions.
Stickmen - congratulations on hiring a coach to work on improving this preseason. Your 9-2 loss against the IceHogs is proof positive that it was money well spent. Here's to a 15th place finish.
Rhinos - congrats on finishing first this year again, and finishing first in penalty minutes, and finishing first in being the most disliked team in the league.
IceHogs - word on the street is that if you ask the IceHogs to spell the word "CAT", and spot them the "C" and the "T", they still could not spell the word. To the biggest group of misfits in the league I see a 11th place finish.
Thundercocks - now that they have a "star" on the team, will see goal production go from 1.6 to 1.7. That improvement will drop them in the standings to 12th place.
Devils - the new "Crushers" of the league, another last place finish this season.
Crushers - couldn't crush a empty soda can if they tried...17th place finish.
Chiefs - losing the best goaltender they ever had (ATG), and now Kyle, will be to much to overcome. 10th place finish.
Mad Dogs - remind me of that dog who chases his tail, runs in circles, and doesn't understand the concept of fetch. Very much like the mad dog players. As long as Chad can stop 40 shots a game, will finish 9th.
HC Hitmen - who will the Hitmen rely on this year to score their goals now that they lost their best player ( scored 86% of their goals). Here's to 7th place.
Lucky - the hardest working team (at drinking beer). 5th place
Pucks - with the core group approaching a average age of 53, will be hard pressed to have success this year. 6th place
Pirates - their ship is on the rocks, taking on water. Will fall to 8th.
GC Club - the requirements to join this club are 1) have a IQ above 85, 2) count to six without help, and 3) spell the word "CAT". (This would exclude all IceHogs). 4th place finish
Nanucks - a great team to have in the league, as other teams can count on them for a easy win. Here's to a 14th place finish..
Hornets - the big bad hornets. Will battle with the Rhinos and Bangers for most disliked team in the league. 3rd
Haze - a team lost in the fog. Likely have a sore neck from looking up at all the teams higher up in the standings. 16th
Bangers - the biggest group of misfits and social outcasts will see them finish 2nd.
Renegades - are truly blessed to have ATG. Will take a bunch of losers and deliver them a 13 place finish. |
